I read about these new kids’ sneakers called Zonkers in Time Out NY and looked them up online. Created by Dan Cohen, an enterprising dad from Larchmont, NY, Zonkers are kids’ footwear that look (and feel) like baseballs, basketballs, footballs, or soccerballs. Pretty cute, and apparently quite popular even with the tough-to-please pre-’tween crowd. Each pair costs $49.99 at ESPNShop.com.
