Attention NYC moms. If, like me, you are 1) looking for a drop-in class to keep your toddler from going stir crazy in this weather and 2) on a tight budget, then check out the “Moey’s Music Party” classes with my pal Melissa Levis (aka Moey). Moey is a talented songwriter (and mom) whose lively, themed “music parties” have a small cult following with the under-5 set. Just like a real party, each class features songs, dancing bubbles, scarves, pompoms, and (S’s favorite) free party favors. Moey already has classes on the East Side at Caffe Notte (85th/2nd), and now Moey’s Music Party is headed west to Symphony Space (96th/Broadway). Classes are just $25 each for a 10-week series or $35 per drop in class. This is about 40% less than typical mommy and me music classes in NYC (shocking but true…for those of you who are reading this outside of NYC). Clever songs, bubbles, party favors, and a warm place to take your 2 year old when it is 10 degrees outside…that’s music to my ears! Visit Moey’s Music Party for more details.

Wow, NYC prices are definitely higher.
