My kids have been entranced recently by our Sesame Street Old School DVDs, which I love watching along with them because I can relive my groovy seventies childhood. R. in particular is so taken with the classic skits and songs that she wanted me to find some others on You Tube, where I found this one called “Red Ball 1, 2, 3.” If you’re past, ahem, a certain age you may remember it. I didn’t recognize it at first, but once the music started, I could picture my sister and I watching it on our old (black and white) television in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. Watch it all the way to the end…there’s a yummy surprise. It makes R. giggle every time.
Oh, and in case you’re curious, it’s from 1970 (so I saw it in repeats). Wow.

What a match–I just had a scoop of coconut ice cream with some whipped cream. I can't say I remember this from growing up, but I am excited to show it to my kids.
I really don't remember this one–but having sat through more "modern" DVDs with R & S, I can't help thinking of this as a sort of precursor (without the words) to certain Baby Einstein clips.
i remember and man that was weird watching it… i loved that as a little girl! curious to see if mine do too!
