It is hard to believe that I started this blog 3 years tomorrow, on January 17th, 2007. I know some of you have been reading since the beginning (thank you!) and I’m sure your lives have changed quite a bit since that time. Mine certainly has. But of course, my inspiration remains the same…my two kids. When I started the blog, the little guy pictured above was keeping me up (and often online) all night. Of course, he was just a few months old at the time. Now, he sleeps through the night, though he usually wakes at 5:30am. But despite 3 years of bleary eyes and many unexpected challenges, I get more joy from my kids than I ever imagined. It just gets better and better. So, since I dedicated my 1000th post to my daughter back in 2008, this 2000th post is for my little man. Had I not spent months shopping online while on bedrest with him, or hours at the computer when he was a fussy newborn, this blog may not have been “born” either. Thank you, S.!
p.s. Many of you have asked how my son, who has apraxia of speech, is coming along. He began really “talking” last summer! He has plenty of work ahead of him, but he has made tremendous progress and I am so proud of his hard work, and so grateful to his incredible therapists.
