Romper Room

Have you noticed that rompers are a big trend for Spring 2010? Granted, not every grown woman can carry off this Carrie Bradshaw-type look. But most young girls can quite nicely! Take a look:

Cakewalk Pink Print Short Jumpsuit ($78, sizes 4T-8) at Smug Baby

Mim-Pi Smock Bodice Short Jumpsuit ($58, size 10 remaining) at Smug Baby

Stonewashed Denim Romper ($24.50, sizes 4-14) at Children’s Place

LA Made Knit Romper ($46, sizes 2T-14) at Garnet Hill

Striped Terry Romper ($26.75, sizes 3-12) at Gymboree

The striped terry one reminds me of my childhood. My sister and I always had matching rompers on. Wouldn't look so cute now, but I bet it would look really cute on a little girl.

Totally! My sister and I always wore them too. My favorite was a striped terry one from Esprit. I wore it all summer in 1984. Wish I had saved it!

I have to admit. I totally don't "get" the romper trend – especially for toddlers and preschoolers. Isn't potty training already hard enough for little ones without a one piece suit to try to get on and off? That's my 2 cents… šŸ™‚
