There are a million reasons why I love living in New York. Too many to begin to rattle off here. Next week marks 16 years since I moved to New York City right out of college. I love it more every day.
I’m no Carrie Bradshaw, but I do have this in common with her: my love affair with New York has outlasted many other things. I’ve had many “New York lives” so far and the city is chock full of each one’s memories.
Today I’m headed back to BlogHer, an ultra-popular annual conference of female bloggers, which I’m thrilled is taking place in New York for the first time (mostly because, as a single mom, it is hard for me to travel elsewhere for conferences). Lots of BlogHer ’10 attendees are here for the 1st time and I can see their excitement. I went to some pre-conference events yesterday and it was fantastic. I’ll post and details later, but in the meantime you can check my Twitter feed to see what I’ve been up to these past 24 hours, including chatting with Ralph Lauren’s son, David Lauren, and being interviewed for a segment on Today’s Moms. Not a typical day for me!
BlogHer’10 attendees, I know you will fall in love with New York, too. Welcome and have fun!

p.p.s. If you’re checking out this blog for the first time because we just met at BlogHer ’10, welcome! Scroll down for lots and lots of cool stuff…3 years’ worth of my favorite shopping finds.
