I was invited to a Mother’s Day gift preview last week at Plaza Beauty, an underground boutique that features extremely high-end beauty and home accessories befitting of the Plaza Hotel’s (which sits atop the site) clientele. I saw many beautiful things–most of which are out of the price range that I normally write about here–but I wanted to mention one designer in particular that really caught my eye. Rachel Brown Jewelry makes custom-made necklaces, bracelets, and rings based on the spiritual teachings of Kabbalah (yes, that Kabbalah…the one Madonna studies). While I’m much more of a traditional (Reform) Jew than a Kabbalist, I still was taken with these beautiful Hebrew-inscribed pieces. I think that the necklace at top stands for “Dissolving Darkness”, but I’m not sure. I also don’t know exactly how much these pieces cost, but I can tell you that on the Rachel Brown website, necklaces run anywhere from $285 to $980. Out of my budget, but if you are a Kabbalist with money to spare, definitely take a look!
Disclosure: I was not compensated in any way by Plaza Beauty for this post, and all opinions are entirely my own.
