Brain Food

At NYIGF last month I discovered a slimey, creepy toy that my 8 1/2 year old (who loves all things grotesque) would really enjoy. It’s called Brain Food and it’s by Fat Brain Toys. Basically, these are fun, soothing masses of safe, nontoxic putty in nifty colors like “Temporal Lobe Teal” and “Cranial Copper.” You can knead the putty into any shape you like or just fiddle with it for sensory input (it’s a great toy for kids with special needs). Actually, I think it appeals to people of all ages and abilities….I found myself playing with it for quite awhile inside the booth at NYIGF. Buy it for $9.95 per tin at Fat Brain Toys.
