Spring Cleaning and Entertaining with Katie Brown & OxiClean

Last week I was invited to a blogger luncheon with home expert Katie Brown to learn some home cooking, cleaning, and entertainment tips (all of which I could certainly use). The event was sponsored by OxiClean.

Katie was so outgoing and welcoming to all of us. After chatting with her at lunch, she started her presentation which included giving us cleaning tips that incorporated OxiClean products (one good tip: if you’re trying to get out a stain, use a squirt bottle rather than a spray bottle–the liquid cleaner will distribute more effectively). She also told us she is a compulsive cleaner herself and has a pretty cleaning supply bucket in every area of her house.

Not to knock the importance of cleaning, but it was more fun to learn some new entertaining tips, too:

I especially loved the idea of printing a dinner party menu on a brown paper bag, and making wine cork napkin holders monogramed with letter stickers (so smart, easy, and inexpensive):

The reverse of the brown paper bag menu has a hint of what’s to come after dinner:

Sweet, isn’t it?

Disclosure: I was treated to lunch and received a bag of OxiClean products at this event. I was not compensated for this post and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
