Godiva Spirits Luncheon

Last week I was invited to a gorgeous luncheon sponsored by Godiva Spirits at the restaurant A Voce in NYC’s Time Warner Center.  Let me just say this is one of those restaurants I would not go to–so I really appreciated this opportunity.  This was the view from the restaurant’s private room–not too shabby, eh?

When we arrived, we were each treated to a “Les Femmes Coupes” drink (featuring Godiva Chocolate Raspberry Vodka, PIMM’S No. 1, Fresh Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Orange Bitters, and Regans #6 Bitters).  Although I’d never been a big fan of dessert-flavored drinks, I think I am converted. These were delicious.

This was the table set for about two dozen top NYC bloggers/social media moms (it was so lovely to have a small, intimate event like this as opposed to other blogger events which can be mobscenes):

And here’s my place setting:

We enjoyed a multi-course luncheon prepared by A Voce’s Executive Chef Missy Robbins, paired with tasting cocktails.  This was the main course, inspired by Missy’s own mom’s brisket.  Definitely my fix of red meat for the week (or month) but, wow, it was delicious:

While I wouldn’t be drinking cocktails like these regularly for lunch (or at any meal, for that matter!), I must say it was a special treat to enjoy these spirits with a stellar group of mom bloggers.  Thanks Godiva Spirits for hosting us!

Disclosure: I received a gift bag from Godiva at this event. I was not compensated for this post and all opinions are, as always, entirely my own.
