I’ve sung the praises of children’s retailer CWDKids many times before at this blog. You may know CWDKids (which stands for “Cute Well Dressed Kids”) from its popular mail order catalog, or maybe you’ve shopped its website too.
There are several reasons that CWDKids is one of my “go-to” sites:
1) The clothing is age-appropriate for kids. As the mom of an almost-nine-year-old girl, I appreciate finding clothing that is cute and stylish without being too “mature.” This is clothing that moms and ‘tweens can agree on.
2) The sibling outfits are too cute for words. Far from being tacky, these matching sister/brother, sister/sister, or brother/brother outfits are tasteful and look great not just for special occasions or photo opportunities, but for everyday wear too.
3) This is the place to shop for seasonal, holiday-themed clothing. Remember all of CWDKids’s Halloween outfits? Whether you’re shopping for Halloween, Christmas, Easter, or 4th of July duds, you’ll find something you like here. .
I was pleased to have the chance to review some of CWDKids’s patriotic kids’ clothing for the upcoming July 4th holiday. I can’t wait for them to wear them not only on the holiday weekend, but probably all summer as well (and even next year if they still fit):
First is CWDKids’s Madras Collection. The collection includes a tunic with adjustable neckline and bow ($39) with solid cropped leggings ($22 or 2 for $38), a tiered dress with alternating layers of eyelet trim ($48),and short-sleeve ribbed collar polo ($29) with elastic waist shorts (on sale for $14.99; originally $25). R. got the tiered dress and S. got the madras shorts; I appreciate that these clothes are July 4th-themed without being cutesy, plus that they are machine washable (I am pretty sure they are going to get ice cream stains that weekend).
Next is CWDKids’s Star PJ’s collection for those hot July nights. The collection includes Short Johns ($26 or 2 for $46), Pajamas ($36), Sleeveless Ruffled Gown ($32) and Personalized Short Johns ($39.50). R. got the ruffled nightgown and S. got the short johns, and they are wearing them as I type this at five in the afternoon (they couldn’t wait). They look adorable together and, honestly, in this heat (90 degrees in NYC in May?), I am glad that they have these super cool and comfy PJs.
Whether you’re shopping for siblings or one child, or for a holiday or everyday, check out the goods at CWDKids. Also be sure to sign up for their newsletter and like them on Facebook to get exclusive, frequent coupon codes.
