I was in Duane Reade yesterday to purchase some travel-sized items for an upcoming trip, and I spotted this fantastic book for R.–“The Girls’ Summer Book.” It’s 95 pages chock full of fill-in-the-blank quizzes, games, puzzles, and activities (from surfing moves to fortune telling) for ‘tween girls like mine. I paid $6.99 for it at Duane Reade, but if there’s not a Duane Reade near you, you can find buy it for the same prize at Amazon.com (a boys’ version is available, too).
