As a Duane Reade VIP Blogger, I’m certainly aware that the drugstore chain is revamping many of its locations, but I didn’t realize it had happened so quickly at one of my neighborhood stores. Over at the Duane Reade near 79th and York (close to my children’s former nursery school–a Duane Reade location where I purchased many an emergency pull-up or sippy cup!), I walked inside and realized the store had undergone a complete transformation. Not only was everything brand spanking new and gleaming, but the product range had gone from ho-hum drugstore wares to some trendy products that I would normally have to shop for elsewhere in the Big Apple. Take a look:
Here are 2 views of the store:
Papyrus is one of my favorite stationery stores; Duane Reade now carries a selection of its greeting cards and stationery products.
Prefer organic food for your baby? Duane Reade now carries the esteemed Happy Baby line of edibles.
Wayyyy before I had kids, I used to get my hair done at the posh Bumble & Bumble salon; I still swear by its de-frizzing gel. Now you can pick up Bumble & Bumble staples at your neighborhood Duane Reade, too.
Speaking of luxe haircare, there is nothing fancier than Frederic Fekkai–and I found it at Duane Reade.
New York readers, has your local Duane Reade been renovated yet? If not, it will be soon!
