As you can see I finally chose an upholstered headboard–Target’s Seville Upholstered Headboard ($409) in parchment. I am sooo happy with it–it has a luxurious velvety texture, was easy to assemble, and cost so much less than similar-looking options. It makes the whole room feel much more glamorous. To coordinate with it, I purchased the Simply Shabby Chic Smocked Duvet Set in White ($89.99 including duvet and two king shams), also from Target. I also bought two light blue silk channeled Euro shams ($69 each) which are from Pottery Barn as is the pearl embroidered boudoir sham ($19). The small square white ruffled sham ($29) is from PBTeen. How do you think it all turned out? My eight-year-old says, “Your bed is very comfy but too girly”- ha! I have a bit more renovating to do (like centering that mirror, and getting a bedskirt), but for now, I’m sleeping like a queen.
