The Proper T Project

Yesterday I went to a trendy neighborhood store to buy some some T-shirts for R., age 9.  But they only had too-sophisticated, trashy slogan tees like “I Luv Boys” in the size 7-14 girls’ section.  I want my kids (especially my daughter) to dress her age, not to wear tees like those.  I prefer slogans with more positive messages.  So I was very excited to read in Earnshaws about The Proper T Project, a brand new line of graphic tees for both boys and girls that pairs positive messages with fun styling like raglan sleeves and cool fonts.  The tees’ messages are about kindness, friendliness, and accomplishments, and each design is hand drawn and silk-screened. Sizes go from toddler through youth, and the prices are reasonable. Here are some of my favorites (these are all available at The Proper T Project’s Etsy shop):

I Like Me” Raglan Tee ($26):

Brainy Girls are Boss” Tee ($22):

Encourage Me ($22):

I Use Kind Words ($22):
