I am hoping to attend this year’s National Stationery Show in New York City; this year marks 10 years that I’ve attended the show and it’s been so much fun spotting trends (even as they go from “in” to “out”) over the years. I like to quickly post my favorite finds in real time on Instagram and Twitter, but I’ll also do a fuller post here showing you my top picks. I am always partial to the debut exhibitors; I love to see them (hopefully) grow in stature and success in the following years! Here are a few I have my eye on:
Colette Paperie (Booth 1252). I spotted some Trump cards last year, pre-election, and I’m sure that we’ll be seeing even more Trump-isms this year.
The Witty Gritty Paper Co. (Booth 1737). Emergency stationery “kits” are growing in popularity as people have less and less time to write letters (or shop for the supplies).
Marble & Vine (Booth 1342). Tree-free giftwrap–a novel idea for people who love luxurious wrapping paper but don’t want to be wasteful.
Frog & Toad Press (Booth 1267). I love the classic look and texture of letterpress–I have since my first stationery show in 2007–and if there’s a cute message and graphic, too, I’m sold.
Adam J. Kurtz (Booth 1239). I’ve spotted some of his gift products at Fish’s Eddy (perhaps you have, too) but I especially like the paper goods such as the “1 Page at a Time” journal book with prompts.
